Our Role - regulator, manager, governance, network refresh trust, product and SLA management

OPENetworks role is to be the carrier regulator and manager of services and service levels associated with the delivery of services over a community network.

We will manage the wholesale access and wholesale billing of services to retail carriers or billing of wholesale access to community members depending on the community requirements.

We will manage the service level agreements with retail carriers and service providers and for some communities provide aggregated brokerage services to some applications to ensure that retail rates for services are competitive.

OPENetworks will have an outsourced partner (Fujitsu) to manage the maintenance and operations of the network and will manage the service levels associated with this outsourced service.

Retail carriers and service providers will be provided with level 2 network support through the national NOC of the outsourced maintenance provider and will have network visibility and alarm management to manage the restoration of services or correction of network elements to ensure that service levels are met or exceeded.
