Important Notes |
| |
If you are ordering a new retail service for voice & Internet for the first time, it is important that you have first checked your own internal cabling within your home.
Cabling within your home is your responsibility and is under warantee by your cabling contractor or builder.
If you have an internal Home Cabling Distribution Cabinet (HDC) often you will need to patch (within the HDC) between the input connections from the CTC (on the outside of the house) to the room outs you want to plug your phone of Internet Router into.
If you don't know how to do this, call your cabling contractor and ask them to explain how the patching system works within your home.
The network boundary for the delivery of OPENetworks services is the output cables from the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) which we install inside the CTC.
If you are having problems with your internal home cabling and unable to get information from your builder or cabling contractor, OPENetworks can arrange for one of our specialist contractors to visit, however there will be a service fee charged for this visit. |
