Home Distribution Cabinets (HDC)
A HDC is a central location to allow the voice/data and TV cabling to be managed.
It is highly recommended that an HDC be installed even in the simplest home cabling configuration to provide a point where the home cabling can be easily added to and provides flexibility (on an internal wall like a garge wall).
There are HDC system available form a range of manufacturers and the choice of which one is used is yours. We recommend Clipsal and Prysmian.
Clipsal systems are metal and backed by Clipsal home cabling warrantee providing the home owner with a level of assurance in respect to their home cabling. They also offer a number of sizes to choose from depending on your requirements.
Prysmian enclosures are made of durable plastic and provide the additional benefits that wireless routers can be mounted conveniently inside the enclosure .The Prysmain enclosure can also be stacking making it very flexible to expand to accommodate additional services. |
